Any idea if there are plans to be able to control webviewer UI when switching tabs to avoid the useless panel collapsing and reopening ?

The task is being worked on right now. My guess is that it will be ready for the next WebViewer release (8.8) or the next one (8.9). 8.8 is scheduled to be released in August and 8.9 in September.
