Annotation state changes without replies

Please describe your issue and provide steps to reproduce it:
Create any annotation, open the annotation pane, change the status, it creates a reply.
I was wondering if there is any option to change the status of an annotation without the replies.

Hello bmaertz,

Thank you for reporting this. Currently, we don’t have an API exposed to differentiate the Status update replies from regular ones. I have added this to our backlog as a feature request for our product team to review.
