<pages> <defmtx> and <pgmtx> tags usage in the xfdf that i got from exportAnnotation

On saving some annotations on my file and calling exportAnnotations i get as a part in the xfdfString. -




















Are these tags being used while importAnnotation() while I get the xfdfstring back from the database.

If these tags are removed from the xfdfString from the database will there be any problem for pdftron to importAnnotation without and tags in the xfdfString.

Please let me know the importance and the use case of these tags by pdftron.

Hello,

The and tags are used to determine the default page matrix of the document. If these tags are removed, the position of the annotations within the pages might be affected. We would recommend against modifying the XML content of the XFDF directly, as this might lead to unexpected results with annotations.
