Unable to preview Excel file: 1600 Vine - Income & Expenses - January 2023 file using PDFTron webviewer, and preview working fine with other Excel files

Please describe your issue and provide steps to reproduce it:

When attempting to preview an Excel file: 1600 Vine - Income & Expenses - January 2023 file with pdfTron WebViewer, the loading process takes a significant amount of time and ultimately disappears. Additionally, warnings are displayed in the console indicating that the server is not configured to serve .gz and .br files with the expected Content-Encoding, potentially resulting in degraded performance.

When we’re trying to open the same file in PDFTron online demo site we’re getting ‘Exception during conversion: std::bad_alloc’ error

Hi Sanjay.dandekar,

Thank you for contacting us regarding Webviewer.

To further investigate the issue, could you send us the sample file? You could send the file to jkung@apryse.com.

Hi Johnny - I did share the file over email. However, I think I figured out the problem. The way excel is formatted - it is treating blank cells also as content so the excel seems to have ~7500 pages. Hence it is failing to render.

Also one more question - the excel has grouped rows and the viewer does not show all the rows. It only shows the exact state in which the file was saved. If some groups were expanded when it was last viewed then those cells are visible. There is no indication on the viewer that some content is hidden. Is this the expected behavior?

Hi Sanjay,

Thank you for providing the information.

However, I wasn’t able to download the file in my mailbox for some reason.

Do you mind if you could provide the file again? or if you could share me with a link to download the file? thank you.
